Here is a another great post from the Author of the “Conversations With God Series” Neal Donald Walsch, here is an Except:
You see, I had said, “I don’t embrace a God who says that there is only one path to Heaven, only one road back to God, and that everyone who takes a different road is going straight to hell.”
And he replied, “But what if you are wrong?” He was very compassionate in asking me. Yet the approach was the same as that which I have experienced with some other born-again or fundamentalist Christians:
F-E-A-R.
Here is the full article “Will Jesus condemn us? Will God?”
I also wrote a simlar article for Hellium “Is Jesus the only way to Salvation?”
Having been a Charismatic Born Again Minister Myself, I De-Converted, in a word I just grew up to the understanding that we are created in God’s image not the other way around, we are all Divine.
Christianity is really a religion created out of fear and ego from the outside in, that is to say it’s focus is on managing Behavior, the flesh which is another word for Ego thus not dealing with Core of who we are. a Christian Wold View states that “We are born into Sin, needing a intermediary to get us back to God”
Thinking that God is external, We/Christians have created a God in our own Image and passed it down from generation to generation. Then we decided that a set of standardized text that we (Early Church Fathers decided this at the Council of Laodicea, after all the Bible did not fall out of the sky) put together into a Bible and declare it “THE Word of God”, thus solidifying our Fate to the God we created. We took something Deep and made it shallow and called it Deep.
Here is an example of what I am talking about, check out this Standford Talk from Bart Erhman:
Get enough people to believe a story, any story or your version of it and call it “The Only Answer”, will in most cases create a Institution built on Dogma. This is the state of Conventional and Modern Christianity, it seems to me that we spend more time defending it vs being enlighten by it.
Think about it!
Peace and Love
